An adequate supply of affordable housing in the San Diego Region is a complex problem of many parts. The League of Women Voters of San Diego County recognizes that the price and availability of housing can profoundly affect the public’s well-being and the region’s quality of life and vitality. The League supports housing as a basic human need and fundamental component of the region’s infrastructure.
This session will cover the status of housing production and affordability in the region, major housing laws and proposed legislation, and introduce the LWV San Diego Region Housing Action Policy. Housing Action Policy on our website. The policy is scheduled for ratification by members of the Leagues at their annual meetings in June.
