The Housing & Homelessness Interest Group grew from the work of the League’s Public Policy Interest Group. In 2019 the Policy Group’s focus was updating the regional Leagues’ housing and transportation positions. In 2021 both Leagues adopted the Housing Action Policy and the Transportation Action Policy. In 2021 the Housing Committee was formed to implement the actions covered in the adopted action policies. In February 2023, the North County League’s Homelessness Committee merged with the Housing Committee, forming the Housing & Homelessness Interest Group addressing issues throughout the region.
