Anne Hoiberg, a past co-president of LWVSD and very active in women's issues and the United Nations, has written a book telling about 35 refugee women who have ended up in San Diego. The book includes background on each country from which people immigrated, what these refugees went through to get to the U.S., and the success they have made of their lives.
