1. County CAP passed with the Fire Safe VMT Alternative that the coalition had advocated for.

2. The Southern California Coastal Water Research Project (SCWRP) runs a wetland recovery program. They approved and helped fund the ReWild feasibility study. They are interested in helping move to the next step, get the plan funded and restoration started. The tentative plan is to visit the site and confer with ReWild about the next step.

3. The coalition will draft a letter of support to seek funding for the Wetlands Management and Implementation Plan which is included in the DeAnza plan. The city has some funds. The Mission Bay Park Improvement Fund is directed toward wetland and habitat. Advocacy for this is through Mission Bay Park Committee who vote on the budget. They should allocate appropriately. Grant funding should help put restrictions on the timeline and define the scope of the work.

4. The City has hired San Francisco Estuary Institute to work on an historical ecology report for the Tecolote mouth and Fiesta Island to inform the habitat restoration. The coalition and Native American partners have input on the process.
