Register to Vote at Lush Fashion Valley

The LWV USA is partnering with LUSH shops across the United States during National Voter Registration week. League of Women Voters San Diego is joining with LUSH Cosmetics in Fashion Valley Mall on Saturday, September 14, 2024 to register voters and assist them in checking their registration.


They will be providing the table and chairs and volunteers will take the LWV materials including applications.

Grossmont College Basic Needs Resource Fair

Grossmont College partners with the San Diego food bank and provides on-campus food distribution for students once a month during the Fall semester. The event will include local community partners who connect students with resources for basic needs (food, healthcare, housing programs, etc.) The September 17th event will be the first distribution/resource fair for the Fall semester., as well as National Voter Registration Day! The campus radio station will join the event and there will be a "Rock the Vote" effort ocuring on campus during the fair, giving students a chance to register to vote for the upcoming election.

Free parking will be available on campus.

Journey Through the Wetlands Voter Registration

The San Diego Bird Alliance is hosting Latino Conservation Week in September, and the final event will be a Journey through the Wetlands event at Chula Vista Bayfront Park on Sept. 21st. They want to offer a booth for registration, and ideally provide both Spanish and english materials.


Volunteers who speak some level of Spanish would be great.

SD Canyonlands Nature Challenge Hike-a-thon

The LWV is partnering with San Diego Canyonlands to provide voter registration at their upcoming Nature Challenge Hike-a-Thon.The canyons provide nearby nature for residents and serve as vital ecological corridors that allow wildlife to move freely and sustain the delicate balance of ecosystems in San Diego. In 2009, Canyonlands embarked on Canyon Enhancement Planning for City Heights, and by 2012 successfully obtained nearly $1 million in funding to create the Loop Trail that connects the multi City Heights Canyons. The hike starts at 8am and goes to 12pm.


Tables of vendors and organizations will set up from about 8-12. You are welcome to participate in the Hike-a-thon before or after your shift!

Fr. Joe's Villages Voter Registration

We are a Day Center for Homeless adults (Neil Good Day Center) that last year served 5,932 unduplicated people. This is a mail distribution center for sheltered and unsheltered people. This registration event will include other organizations that provide resources to unhoused individuals.
