How Can We Achieve Racial Justice in Our Criminal Justice System?

For the March 13th Criminal Justice Committee Meeting, our speaker will be Abram Genser, a San Diego Public Defender who was the first to use the Racial Justice Act in San Diego.

He will be sharing his experience with RJA 
along with his hopes for the future. The RJA was passed to protect those who can demonstrate that racial bias was used in their arrest or conviction. Last month we looked at cases where the Racial Justice Act For All may be used for cases in the past that can be shown to have had racial bias during their criminal justice conviction.
