Action Planning Meeting

Ann Omstead | Published on 2/5/2024
Water is essential for life, but it’s also a complex and challenging issue in San Diego County. In the past year, we’ve learned a lot about the current and future state of water supply, quality, equity, and management in our region. We’ve also participated in two informative webinars and explored various topics such as the “divorce” of two members agencies from the County Water Authority, desalination and Pure Water projects, the Colorado River negotiations, the Tijuana River wastewater pollution problems, and the impacts of climate change and health issues on water.

But learning is not enough. We need to take action to make a difference.

This is the time to brainstorm ideas and evolve a plan for 2024.

What are the most pressing local water issues we need to address?
What are the best ways to educate ourselves and others about water?
How can we collaborate with other stakeholders and influence policy decisions?
How can we make our voices heard?
