The March Criminal Justice Interest Group meeting will have a speaker from PERT, the Psychiatric Emergency Response Team. PERT pairs licensed mental health clinicians with law enforcement officers to provide on-scene. specialized crisis response for mental health emergencies. This is part of this year’s focus on Behavioral Health in our jails. Last month we had a speaker from NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
