Getting the Word Out!

We were very pleased with the turnout at our event on October 22 and the reaction to our report on the conditions in our county jails. The video and the report are now on the LWVSD website. The slides from the presentation can actually be seen in the video. Thanks to Chris Schaffer for the skillful videos that we can all enjoy on our website, whenever we miss an event.
The panel of Monica Munoz, Tom Packard, Stephanie Sontag and myself were all impressed by the great questions asked. We are also hopeful that by repeating this presentation at other venues around the county, we can reach a wide variety of people. So often it seems we are “preaching to the choir” so if you know other organizations who would be interested in hearing our presentation or in reading our report, please let me know at JeanneB@lwvsandiego.org.
The CJ Interest Group will be going on hiatus for November and December so our next meeting will be at 12:30 pm on January 14 on Zoom. We are always looking for more
