ReWild Coalition Update

"ReWild’s quarterly coalition meeting is scheduled for September 22 from 4:00-5:00 PM. The San Francisco Estuary Institute will present. Priorities and Strategies for The Coastal Commission and the City over the coming year will be discussed.
Last month the Mission Bay Park Committee presented the Draft Framework for Mission Bay Environmental Projects. ReWild will provide feedback on this and the PEIR that goes with it. This is not DeAnza related but does include updates to the bay of the higher priority projects which have gone unfunded at MBPC. This includes preliminary work on wetland restoration.
There have been several recent coalition additions. UCSD’s Center on Global Justice has joined the coalition along with Wild Birds Unlimited and Huntington Beach Wetlands Conservancy. Enthusiasm for a re-wilded Mission Bay continues to grow!
