Recording Policy

Published on 9/26/2024
The recording of this event is owned by the League of Women Voters of San Diego and may not be used for any purpose without the explicit written permission of the League of Women Voters of San Diego except by news media or for nonpartisan voter education.

For all other requested uses, reach out to Jane Andrews janea@lwvsandiego.org to request permission to use part or all of the recording. All uses of clips must be linked back to the full recording, must attribute the clip to the League of Women Voters of San Diego candidate debate on [DATE], and must include a disclaimer that views expressed do not reflect those of the League of Women Voters.

The League seeks to ensure that information is not manipulated to create false or misleading impressions to the detriment of the candidate and the League; no candidate will be allowed to use or edit the footage for campaign purposes.

Unauthorized videos are not allowed because the FCC requires that a debate must not be edited and must be broadcast in its entirety, either live or reasonably soon after it takes place.

Leagues must follow FEC rules for federal candidates and IRS rules for any candidate.
